Is there any better feeling than when the words are falling out of your head faster than you can write them down? And then, when you’re interrupted by life you walk away from your story with regret that’s tempered with the excitement that the rest of the story is clear in your mind.
I put over a thousand words down on my lunch break without looking up and still it was hard to walk away when the time came. Looking forward to this evening and letting the rest of this beast out of my brain!

That is a GREAT day! I envy you. 🙂
That IS a good day! I had a good day, too. Been fighting with myself (mostly) and the story (some) on a novella. Today I had a breakthrough, and over a thousand words spilled out, just right, furthering the story. Yay for us!
*Raises glass* Congrats! I got another thousand words down yesterday evening to wrap up the (very) rough draft of my story. It’s a relief to have it recorded somewhere other than in my brain!
Woo-hoo! I’m all in favor of sh*tty rough drafts; after the “magic” of a couple rounds of editing, they turn into polished final pieces. Now as long as the hard drive doesn’t crash… (my kind of luck) you’re set!
